Community Kids Workshop
Building confidence, connection and life skills for young people
Community Kids Workshops – formerly known as Kaz Kids Workshops – is a Your Angel Charity initiative designed to give all young people in the Southern Highlands access to safe, inclusive, and engaging programs.
Originally launched as a school holiday program, we’re excited to share that term-time workshops for both primary and high school students are coming soon!
Our goal is to support families – especially those facing financial or mental health challenges – by offering affordable and sponsored access to high-quality, hands-on workshops.
Programs are open to all young people aged 6-16.
We offer:
- Affordable entry for the general public
- Free Your Angel sponsorships for families needing extra support
Through creative and engaging activities, kids build:
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Social skills and friendships
- Inclusion and a sense of belonging
- Resilience and practical life skills
Whether it’s during the school holidays or the school term, every session is designed to be fun, safe, and meaningful. Kids take part in hands-on learning and always go home with something they’ve made.
A few extra things to know about us…
- We provide morning tea and lunch to keep kids fueled throughout the day
- Break times are always supervised
- Our presenters are professionals in their field and meet our most important rule: “No fun? No workshop.”
- All adults involved have NSW Working with Children Checks
- We have a zero tolerance for bullying or disruptive behaviour – but we’re proud to say we’ve never had to send a child home, and we plan to keep it that way!
- Proceeds from paid entry help fund Your Angel’s other community support programs
